Gather with us at the Shala for a deep musical meditation experience that is sure to alleviate stress, elevate your consciousness, and nourish your soul. Mantra meditation (Kirtan) is an ancient spiritual practice of Bhakti Yoga designed to collectively raise our vibration through call and response chanting of Sanskrit mantra.
Through this repetitive joyful chanting, we are able to drop in, connect with our hearts, and access the divine within ourselves. This practice of devotional chanting is one of the simplest ways to tap into divine energy. The mantras invoke certain aspects of the divine and by collectively chanting them we align with that energy and raise our vibration. Our hearts melt and overflow.
For this 90 minutes of practice, we will sing and share stories of the deities to whom we will chant. Good voice, bad voice, no voice — it doesn’t matter! This is an evening about connection and community. Families are always welcome, and children under 16 come for free. Join us!
